Within the framework of the celebration of Tajik Science Day, according to the plan of activities of the Polytechnic Institute of the Technical University of Tajikistan in the city of Khujand, on the initiative of the department of automobiles and management in transport, the “best driver” competition was held among students. The main purpose of the competition is to increase the professional competence and interest of students in their future profession.

the competition was held in two stages, in the first stage 30 active students from the first to fourth courses of the department’s specialties participated. test of theoretical knowledge in written form of writing answers to questions on specialized subjects was determined. among the participants of the first stage, 12 people made it to the second stage.

In the second stage, which was held at the car service station near the department, the students’ professional skills were practically tested. at this stage, the students’ skills and knowledge were tested on the methods of identifying defects that appear during the use of a car, diagnostic equipment, methods of eliminating defects, equipment for repair, technology of diagnosis and repair of cars.

it should be noted that the students showed high professional skills.
